STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IFP029V1 Evaluation Board

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IFP029V1 Evaluation Board is a demonstration and evaluation platform based on the IPS4260L High Speed Quad Low Side Intelligent Power Switch. The STEVAL-IFP029V1 Evaluation Board is designed to be us ined conjunction with the STEVAL-PCC009V2 Development Board, which offers an interface with a PC via the USB port. A user-friendly Graphic User Interface (GUI) allows users to configure and view the status of the IPS4260L Intelligent Power Switch.

The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IFP029V1 Evaluation Board features on-board high-speed, dual-channel opto couplers, which are used both for signals forwarded to the device and for feedback signals, and allow a work frequency up to FSW=100kHz. The board also features two Schottky diodes that guarantee reverse polarity protection for VCC (power stage supply rail) and VDD (logic stage supply rail), respectively. Integrated 3kW Transient-Voltage-Suppression (TVS) Devices protect the application from surge test and a two-layer design addresses the thermal requirements of the application due to the very high load currents. The channel independent integrated thermal protection of the IPS4260L is signaled through a red status LED. The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IFP029V1 Evaluation Board meets industrial standards requirements such as galvanic isolation between logic and power stages, reverse polarity protection, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) requirements, compliant with IEC61000-4-2, IEC61000-4-4, and IEC61000-4-5.
