Panasonic Electronic Components Polymer Capacitors
Panasonic Capacitors offer a wide range of technologies that can be used in the most demanding applications. OS-CON™ parts are characterized by a long life span and minimal changes in ESR throughout the entire rated temperature range. POSCAP (tantalum polymer) parts offer high reliability and high heat resistance, making them the ideal Chip Capacitor for digital, high-frequency devices, and more. The SP-Cap (aluminum polymer SMD) line from Panasonic is composed of multiple series that offer extremely low ESR, a capacitance range up to 560µF, and a voltage range from 2V to 16V, achieving good noise suppression and transient response. Unlike MLCCs, SP-Caps are not susceptible to temperature drift and DC/AC bias characteristics. The EEH-ZA/ZC/ZK series utilizes the benefits of both electrolytic and aluminum polymer capacitor technologies, creating a capacitor with low ESR, low leakage current, high ripple current, and smaller case sizes.OS-CON Aluminum-Polymer
OS-CON Aluminum-Polymer Solid Capacitors produce low ESR, excellent noise reduction, and ripple current capabilities, by utilizing aluminum and a high conductivity polymer material. The OS-CON product line consists of several series that include products characterized by a long life span and minimal changes in ESR throughout the entire rated temperature range. The OS-CON family of products offers very low ESR (down to 5mΩ), a capacitance range up to 2700µF, and a voltage range from 2VDC to 50VDC.
POSCAP Tantalum-Polymer
POSCAP Tantalum-Polymer Solid Capacitors achieve stable capacitance at high frequency and temperature, in addition to low ESR/ESL. Available in several series that include solid electrolyte chip capacitors (TPB, TPC, TPE, TPF, TPG, TPSF, TPU, and TQC), the POSCAP tantalum polymer capacitor product line utilizes a sintered tantalum anode and a proprietary high conductivity polymer for a cathode. This unique design and processing yield extremely low ESR levels and exhibit excellent performance in high-frequency applications. POSCAP capacitors also offer high reliability and high heat resistance, high volumetric efficiency for capacitance. This series is available in various compact sizes for a small PCB footprint and is ideal for digital, high-frequency devices, and more.
SP-Cap Polymer-Aluminum
SP-Cap Polymer Aluminum Organic Capacitors use a conductive polymer as the electrolyte in a layered aluminum construction. These surface-mount lineup features multiple series with a capacitance range up to 560µF, voltage range from 2V to 16V, and extremely low ESR/impedance. This produces good noise suppression and transient response. SP-Caps surpass MLCCs in that they are free from temperature drift and DC/AC bias characteristics. In addition, voltage deration is not needed in SP-Caps, as in tantalum capacitors, due to their safety features. SP-Caps are an ideal solution for input and output capacitors for various DC/DC converters.
Hybrid Aluminum
Hybrid Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors combine the benefits of both electrolytic and polymer capacitor technologies to produce a capacitor with low ESR, low leakage current, high ripple current, and smaller case sizes.
