Microchip Technology VSC7414-01 Layer-2 GbE SGMII Ethernet Switch
Microchip Technology VSC7414-01 Layer-2 GbE SGMII Ethernet Switch is an 11-port Serial Gigabit Media-Independent Interface (SGMII) Switch optimized for Enterprise Ethernet applications. The VSC7414-01 integrates eight 10/100/1000Mbps SGMII/SerDes Ethernet ports, two 10/ 100/1000/2500Mbps SGMII/SerDes ports, and one 10/100/1000Mbps SGMII/SerDes Node Processor Interface (NPI) Ethernet port. The NPI port can operate as a 9th triple-speed Ethernet port. The device provides a rich set of Enterprise Ethernet switching features such as fast protection switching, 1588 precision time protocol, and synchronous Ethernet. Advanced TCAM-based VLAN and QoS processing enable the delivery of differentiated services. Security is assured through frame processing using a TCAM-based Versatile Content-Aware Processor. In addition, the device contains a powerful 416MHz CPU enabling full management of the switch.
The Microchip Technology VSC7414-01 Layer-2 GbE SGMII Ethernet Switch is housed in a lead-free Ball Grid Array (BGA) with a 19mm x 19mm body size, 1mm pin pitch, and 1.8mm maximum height.
