Audio - Soundbar
Soundbars are a popular choice today for many home entertainment systems. They offer advantages such as
compact size, easy set-up, and improved sound quality compared to the speakers found in most TVs.
Soundbars enhance the viewing experience by providing high quality audio to complement the performance of
HDTV video. They are especially beneficial for flat panel TVs which have limited space for attached
speakers.
Most soundbars connect to the system via HDMI since they are typically used with large screen HDTVs, however
other connections can improve the ability for a Soundbar to seamlessly integrate with an existing home
entertainment system. Multiple inputs will support a variety of sources and allow for an improved audio
experience for TV, movies and gaming.
Some soundbars can simulate a surround sound experience through the use of DSP and speakers directed to
bounce off the walls of a room, reflecting the sound to the listener. While not quite as good as a full 5.1
or 7.1 surround system, a Soundbar is the perfect solution for customers looking for enhanced sound quality
in a space constrained environment.
