Analog Devices Inc. DC2620A-A Demo Board for the LTC7106 DAC

Analog Devices DC2620A-A Demonstration Board is used to evaluate the LTC7106 precision, bidirectional, 7-Bit current DAC with PMBus interface. The DC2620A-A Demonstration Board features Demonstration Circuit 2620A-A with the LTC7106EDDB DAC. Designers can use the DC2620A-A to adjust the output voltage of any conventional VFB referenced regulator. The LTC7106 DACs work with the majority of power management controllers, regulators, and modules to enable digital control of the output voltage.

The DC2620A-A Demonstration Board operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage range. Designers can power the demo board from an external supply or the DC1613A dongle. The LTC7106 offers three ranges of IDAC output current. These include the nominal (-64μA to 63μA), high (-256μA to 252μA), and low (-16μA to 15.75μA) ranges.

To demonstrate the power system management features of the LTC7106 DAC, designers can download the GUI software LTpowerPlay® onto their PC and use ADI’s I2C/SMBus/PMBus Dongle DC1613A to connect to the board. LTpowerPlay allows the designer to reconfigure the part on-the-fly, view IDAC current value, and fault status.
