
ams OSRAM CMV4000 Image Sensors
ams OSRAM CMV4000 Image Sensors are global shutter CMOS image sensors with 2048 by 2048 pixels in a 1" optical format. These image arrays consist of 5.5µm by 5.5µm pipelined global shutter pixels which allow exposure during readout while performing CDS operation. This reduces fixed pattern and dark noise significantly. The CMV4000 has 16 12-bit digital LVDS outputs (serial) each running at 480Mbps. These image sensors also integrate a programmable gain amplifier and offset regulation. Each channel runs at 480Mbps maximum which results in 180fps frame rate at full resolution in 10-bit mode. The CMV4000 image sensors achieve higher frame rates in row-windowing mode or row-subsampling mode. ams CMV4000 image sensors come with operation modes that are all programmable using an SPI interface.The CMV4000 sensors employ a programmable on-board sequencer that generates all internal exposure and readout timings. These image sensors also allow the possibility of external triggering and exposure programming. The CMV4000 sensors feature multiple integrated high dynamic range modes that achieve extended optical dynamic range. These sensors offer a 12-bit per pixel mode at reduced frame rates.
